SCULPTURES BY BILL WOLFE
Bill Wolfe is an Indiana artist whose studio is located in West Terre Haute. He is accomplished in both 2 and 3 dimensional art with works located throughout the United States.
An alumnus of Indiana State University, Wolfe studied art education and recently received an Honorary Master of Fine Arts degree. His painting credits include the murals in the Vigo County and Parke County Courthouses, and the official portrait of ISU’s retired President Dan Bradley. His sculpture credits include Max Ehrmann at the Crossroads, Larry Bird at Hulman Center, the Korean War Monument at the Vigo County Courthouse, fallen Officer Brent Long and Shadow at the Terre Haute Police Department, Sailor with Books at ISU, Schulte High School Memorial, Francois Vincennes in Vincennes, Abraham Lincoln at the Marshall, Illinois Courthouse, James Whitcomb Riley in Greenfield, Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton at the Carmel Catholic Church, Carmel Veterans Monument, Col. Weir Cook at Indianapolis Airport, Veterans Monument of Avon, WWII Monument in Webster, Mass., Orville Wright at the Wright Brothers Museum in Dayton, Ohio, and Veterans Monument in Salem, Virginia.
An important aspect of his art is giving honor and acknowledgement to historically significant people.
